La Meccanica Pellet Mills:
Main characteristics: silent running, absence of vibrations, low cost of maintenance
 Main characteristics:
• Solidity:
Mechanical Characteristics of La Meccanica Pellet Mills: Main characteristics: silent running, absence of vibrations, low cost of maintenance
• Basement in cast iron:
Cast iron absorbs the vibrations during the granulation more a lot than electro-welded structure. Cast iron = absence of vibrations
• Belt Transmission:
Silent running and absence of vibrations. Low costs of maintenance. Belt system = silent operating
• Rotor with elevated moment of inertia (PD2):
It allows to exceed not constant pellet mill feeding and not omogenous mixtures in order to guarantee more regular power absorption of main motor and absence of vibrations. Elevated (PD2) = regular operation
• Solidity:
All mechanical pieces are engineered with elevated safety index in order to guarantee long life of parts and avoid prodiction stopping for accidental roptures. Solidity = low costs of maintenance
• Easy design:
The machine is technologically much simple so it is not necessary specialized technical workers for its maintenance. Easy design = low costs of maintenance
• Precision of working:
Standard process of La Meccanica factory production, preview precisions during working in order to guarantee always the maximum interchangeability of pieces.
• Materials of construction and surface treatments:
All the parts in contact of the material are in stainless steel or are protected from surface treatments, like: chrome and nichel treatment. In particular:
Main shaft and shovels of the conditionner in stainless steel AISI 420 Main shaft of feeder and its cochlear are in stainless steel AISI 420 Door and conveyor feeder are in stainless steel AISI 304 Cover-belts has chrome surface treatment Frontal ring of the rotor is in stainless steel X46Cr13 The case of feeder and conditioner are in stainless steel The head of main shaft is has chrome surface treatment (thickness of chrome = 0.2-0.3 milimeter) The covers of the rotor are in stainless steel AISI 420 The frontal slab roller has nichel surface treatment Pulling of frontal slab is in AISI 304 The levers of regulation and blocking system of rollers have nichel surface treatment
In comparation with the same working surface against competitors pellet mill, our pellet mills are engineered in order to have a diameter relatively big and working width relatively little able to have uniform distribution on all working die. Some competitors propose dies with very large working widths in order to obtain big working area with diameters relatively more small. This it allows to contain the production costs but with low performance of the machine because distribution of material on the big working surface is not always regular and uniform. The die with big working area is moreover more subject to roptures and damaging because more sensitive of inevitables gaps that they are created on the bearings of the rotor.
